ROME'S 1ST HOME GALLERY

A medium sized apartment and a large balcony that looks over Rome's rooftops, railways and ancient ruins. This is the location for the city's first ever home gallery. Launched by photographers Marta Rossato and Wolfgango De Spirito, the unusual gallery space was inaugurated last week, with the opening of the "Incontri Urbani" exhibition, a solo show by Fabrizio Intonti promoted by Officine Fotografiche.
From the living room (decorated like a photographic set) to the bathrooms (redesigned as 30s-style dressing rooms), every room of the house hosts part of the works exhibited. The intent is to re-define the concept of the exhibition, turning it into an intimate, informal event giving the visitors the possibility to meet and confront the artists, while, occasionally, discovering new tastes from young local cooks or simply enjoying a glass of wine.
Wo-Ma'n is yet another vital sign of life from the Pigneto neighbourhood, a new entity aimed at creating a net of similiar spaces, new informal and dynamic places where to create and enjoy photography under a new light.
