Vogue Turkey

Disiniz dan biri by ahmet polat

I know I've been writing (and I'll keep writing) about the new propositions and trends for this fall/winter but that's just me because, I'm anxious! Can't wait for the winter to come.

For you, to keep the summery mood is this photo shoot, from Vogue Turkey this past June. Mary Fellowes (stylist/fashion editor) chose very colourful outfits most of them with stripes. Nothing new? no, but what I find interesting are the random, humble scenarios. There, either men or animals accompany Julia Saner (model), who by the way, looks very pretty with a natural make up and with the hair fixed in loose, casual, disrupted buns.

GIAMBATTISTA VALLI, golden age

Giambattista Valli for this fall winter 2011/2012 Haute Couture has presented one of the most glamorous collections I have ever seen.
Tim Blanks said for style.com
" ...Rose to the challenge of tradition with a collection that threw down the gauntlet to anyone who would insist that this rarified métier is on its last legs. Valli celebrated the past when he used the white poplin shirtdress" (...)
But if that combination of casual and couture felt like essential Valli, there were many more examples of the designer's ability to meld formality and—for want of a better word—fun."(...)
Amid such sensual pleasures, Valli anchored the floaty and the flyaway, conveying the essential rigor of couture design with his animal-printed mousselines and monochrome florals. He even paraded a penitent, a woman in an ostrich-feather sheath swathed in a black lace veil. But, more to the Vatican-friendly point, Valli also proposed a shot of red, like Valentino" before him..."
I myself, see a very big and close relationship between his collection and the Hollywood Golden age. Having chose the 40's over the 70's (the other main trend for this year) offers Class and Glamour, with no extravagances; this collection has no age limit.
I have selected a few Divas (Grace, Lana, Bette, Ginger, Gene, Ava, and Heidi) and their outfits and styles, to show you how I have connected this fashion show, to the old Golden days of hollywood, When fashion and appearance did matter as much as it does now.

TAKE A NAP

Said by a recent report from NASA, the right time for a nap is 26 minutes. According to the agency a dream of this length would help air traffic controllers to improve performance by 34% and enhancetheir alertness by 54%.
Another benefit is that helps the body to withstand the day. It also aids digestion, allowing muscle relaxation that facilitates the digestive system to make this process more effectively. And while this practice for adults is beneficial for children and the elderly is essential.
