When choosing a lipstick i think you have to stick more to your mood rather than any trend. You have to feel brave and magnificent to pull this colour up. In nail polishes, I am always trying new colours, however red will be a basic inside my choices. Always.

... and there was red. Always picked by one of the master fashion illustrators, when asked, Rene Gruau would have often chose red for fashion advertisement. Especially for Dior, I saw an exhibition held at the Somerset House (London) and 7 out of 10 drawings were red dominant.

  It is in fact a brilliant idea,  here some historical information for those of you who are still surprise, that shows why red is a proper colour choice.

Today, Red is still one of the most representative colours of weddings in China, India and Vietnam. It is a lucky colour that means love, joy and prosperity.

In Western Europe now white is "the colour" but it was not like that 150 years ago. When in 1840 Queen Victoria got married to Albert Saxecoburg wearing a white gown, was when white became so popular, and then after a while a tradition. Before brides worn heavy brocaded gowns, being red a particularly preferred tone.
