PRINTS

PRINTS
This summer is all about positiveness: prints and bright colours.

Jessica Stam , Steven Klein

Designers want to see us very cheerful and happy when the circumstances are not so god. we have to pull all our energy out and the best of our smiles.

there are many two ways of wearing motifs, there are some garments that have just one motif, in the other hand there are some that have a pattern all over it. Most of the time when a motif is repeated it is about flowers, animal fur imitation, or geometrical figures.

SINGLE MOTIF

Single motifs are like statements, I bet you all have wore a t-shirt, saying that you love NY, that you were in some hard road cafe, that you listen to ramones, or that you agree with Che Guevara's political ideas, for instance.

FRORAL PRINTS

Every spring summer we have this trend, after all the coldness that winter brings we know is time for the good weather when nature tell us so. I always find myself realizing the trees are not bold anymore, or that the flower have bloomed, and that therefore the summer is just around the corner :)

Kenzo advertisement
Kenzo is well known for this kind of floral prints, it has this kind of feeling very bohemian, that looks very elegant and casual at the same time.

GEOMETRICAL PRINTS

Geometrical patterns was a huge thing during the 60's and 70's, this year fashion recalls this period (the 70's), so we will see may prints based on geometric figures. Some of them are  inspired as well in nature other are arty or futuristic.

COMBINATION OF PRINTS

Combining different patterns is a great idea, for those of you that feel like a curtain when wearing a very girly floral print. Try always to mix small sized with a bigger sized motif and also different colours

Sometimes combining different patterns attaches an ethnic look, I love to play around with lots of prints, It's very summery to have this tribal desire.
